Our Story

The Work It! Book Collection was created by Andrea Fuller in San Francisco, CA.  The idea for the series came to her while sitting in a movie theatre watching the second Harry Potter film.  She thought “I wonder what Hermione wants to do when she grows up?”, and BANG!, the idea of a book series to inspire girls to think about the future hit her and she ran out to the lobby to write it down. 

Work It! provides girls with the ability to walk in the shoes of a professional through an entertaining story. At the same time the books provide information such as the day-to-day responsibilities, necessary education and  fun-factor for each highlighted occupation. We also include resources so girls can keep the learning going after reading the story.
